Software Integration Brings Public Safety Agencies First Application for Creating, Filling-Out and Delivering Electronic Forms

(Nasdaq: SSFT), the leading supplier of speech and imaging solutions, today announced a partnership that will deliver the first software ever to include form-filling and secure delivery in one application for public safety institutions.

By combining ScanSoft's OmniForm® with NetDelivery's FormStream™ software, the two companies will help police departments and other public safety agencies greatly simplify the process of filling out and filing electronic forms, a typically arduous and time-intensive process for law enforcement agencies. The partnership will include joint efforts between the two companies in the areas of product development, marketing and sales.

OmniForm lets users quickly design, create and fill out digital forms - eliminating the need for paper-based forms, and ensuring that all forms are current and updated, while FormStream's field reporting system enables police officers and other users to submit and route their forms quickly and securely .The combination of the two products provides police and other public safety agencies with the ability to open, fill out and submit forms from the field, wirelessly and securely, all from within a single application, simplifying the task of data collection and processing. To further simplify and speed up the forms process, transmission of completed forms takes place transparently in the background, so that following a forms session officers will be able to turn their attention immediately to other tasks while the filled forms are transmitted automatically.
